CHRISTIAN COUNSELING

We desire to serve the larger Christian Church by helping it become more mature in Christ—more fully alive in Him. In this regard we consider Christian counseling to be a specialized form of Christian discipleship: people finding meaning and joy, fulfilling the will of God for their lives, finding workable solutions to their problems, and becoming more emotionally and mentally well-adjusted. Our counselors are members of the American Association of Christian Counselors

TRANSFORMATIONAL PRAYER MINISTRY

Fully-trained, spirit-led prayer ministers facilitate transformational inner healing through Christ, using a technique called Theophostic Prayer Ministry, which is " intentional focused prayer with the desired outcome of an authentic encounter with the presence of Christ, resulting in mind renewal and subsequent transformed life." For more information about this ministry, visit Theophostic Ministry This ministry is a viable alternative to traditional counseling for believers and non-believers alike.

WHAT TO EXPECT

The ministry relationship begins with an intake/assessment appointment, where the recipient decides what type of ministry would best meet their needs. It is also possible to schedule appointments at this first meeting. We offer up to 6 appointments per recipient, after which time there is a reassessment before undertaking any further work. Appointments generally last about 60-90 minutes.

COST

We don’t charge, but in order to maintain our ministry we accept donations. Our expenses dictate that we need to raise, on average, about $50 for every hour of ministry. This is far below the usual cost for counseling. Also, we have found that recipients benefit more if they contribute.
