Rev. Dan is the Pastor of Greenfield Congregational Covenant Church
Rev Dan graduated from Lyndon State College in Lyndon, Vermont in 1972 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He received his Master of Divinity degree in 1987 from Bangor Theological Seminary in Bangor, Maine, and his Doctor of Ministry degree from Northern Seminary in Lombard, IL, in 2007.
The early years of Rev. Dan's life were spent on a small Vermont dairy farm which had been in hi mother's family for several generations. His life during these early years centered on a large extended family and the small, rural community church. "I have very fond memories of Sunday school, vacation Bible school, ice cream socials, pot-luck suppers, and worship."
In 1973 Rev. Dan and his wife Kathy were married. Their son was born in 1974 and daughter in 1976. In 1979 he and his wife Kathy bought a dairy farm. Over the next five years he struggled to arrive at an understanding of being called to the ordained ministry. As a result of this struggle he realized that the ordained ministry was the only option for his life.
Rev. Dan graduated from BTS and was called to the Union Congregational Church of Greenfield, NH. There have been many experiences that have challenged and tested him over the past twenty years of ministry in Greenfield. The three most significant are the journey through the process of leaving the UCC and joining the Covenant, the completion of a Doctor of Ministry degree from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Lombard, Illinois, and the journey we have embarked upon to leave the old Meeting House where we have worshipped for the past 200+ years and to build a new church building will be a tremendous challenge. "However, I know that if the Lord is for us, no one can be against us."
Some of Rev. Dan's Favorites: Rev. Dan's favorite part of being a pastor is having the privilege of seeing Christ work in people's lives as they journey toward being more fully alive. He enjoys gardening, walking his Collies, and being a grandfather. His favorite sayings are "What you allow is what you teach” and "Hurt people hurt people." Rev. Dan enjoys listening to music by Sara Groves, Josh Grobin, Chris Rice and Alan Jackson. His favorite books are The Bible, "The Gift of Being Yourself" by David G. Benner, "Managing Transitions: Making the Most of Change" by William Bridges, and any book on the topic of American history.

Susan Dussell joined the GCCC staff October of 2006 as the Minister of Christian Formation and Supervisor of Fully Alive Ministry. She also serves as an Es-officio member of the Leadership Team.
