GUEST CLERGY

The pastor of this church shall officiate at all weddings. However, guest clergy are welcome to participate in the wedding service. This is a courtesy arrangement and the pastor will extend the invitation at your request. Keep in mind that where there is a difference of theology or style between the pastor and the guest clergy, the pastor of this church has final authority over the wedding service.

CHURCH ORGANIST AND WEDDING MUSIC

The organist of this church shall be consulted about playing at all weddings. If the church's organist is unavailable or if the couple wishes to have another qualified organist or musician provide music, they must discuss this with the pastor and the organist. The organist is available to accompany singers or other instrumentalists. Music which this church or organist does not have must be supplied by the couple. Both traditional and contemporary music is used at this church. Please discuss any special music with the pastor and organist who will decide if it is appropriate for a Christian wedding.

WEDDING REHEARSAL

The day and time of the wedding rehearsal is important. Rehearsals are usually held on the evening before the wedding. Please speak to members of the wedding party to find a time when all can be present. This includes the best man, maid of honor, bridesmaids, ushers, flower girl, ring bearer, musicians, and if invited, guest clergy. The pastor directs the rehearsal and instructs all of the individuals in their roles and duties.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

This church's policy is that contributing, active friends, members and their children are not asked to donate to the church for weddings. Of course you may make a donation if you wish. There is, however, a minimum charge of $75.00 for the organist and a $50.00 charge for the janitor. A honorarium is traditionally paid to the pastor. This amount of the honorarium is left to your discretion.Non-members and are asked for a donation of $200 for the use of the church, $50.00 for the janitor; $75.00 minimum for the organist, and an honorarium of at least $200.00 for the pastor.
