The Greenfield Church Chapel will soon be finished!

It’s been an exciting time for the Greenfield Covenant Church (GCC).

Over the past 5 months, we’ve been building an addition to our Ministry Center located at 12 Depot Drive – the GCC Chapel! Soon, this new space will be open for worship after many years of worshipping at Crotched Mountain School’s Carter Memorial Hall.

The build began last fall 2019

As we were blessed with a milder winter, the building timeline is staying on track for completion this spring. West Rindge Builders of Rindge, NH were contracted to build the structure – a beautiful space with vaulted ceilings and windows that bring in plenty of light. There will also be a new state-of-the-art sound/presentation system installed to take advantage of the great acoustics in the room.

The goal of the project has always been to build the Chapel debt-free so that we could focus on and invest in serving others with our resources and energies. So far, we have been able to do this successfully. In fact, we recently held a “Carpet Square” fundraiser and raised all the money needed to carpet the floor! In addition, a number of people stepped up to donate to cover the costs of the sound system. Since last spring, several fundraisers were held at the Ministry Center to help defray the costs of the entranceway which we hope to build this year. We are so grateful for this generosity, and we thank everyone for their support.

As of this writing

The Chapel is most of the way done with a few finishing touches needed. We will continue to meet at Carter Hall until the Chapel is completed, and will officially open the Chapel with an Opening Reception and Celebration on Sunday, May 17th at 2:00 pm.

We welcome everyone in the community and beyond to join us as we bless the new space together!
